Pricing Questions

What does the $150 intake fee cover?
The intake fee is a one-time charge paid at the start of your case. It covers your initial intake call, case file setup, review of your court order, and assignment of a TruVisit-certified supervisor. You pay this once — it does not recur.
Is there a minimum session length?
Sessions have a 2-hour minimum at $65 per hour, so the minimum session cost is $130. Additional time beyond the first two hours is billed in one-hour increments. Most court-ordered visits range from two to three hours depending on the order. We will always confirm session length in advance with both parties.
Who pays — custodial or non-custodial parent?
Payment responsibility is typically outlined in your court order. Many Colorado parenting time orders specify that the parent whose parenting time is being supervised is responsible for the cost. We work with whatever arrangement your order dictates and can discuss payment logistics during your intake call.
Do you offer payment plans?
We understand that family court proceedings are expensive. Please discuss your situation with our intake coordinator — we will do our best to work with you on a schedule that keeps your case moving forward.
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer flexible rescheduling with 24-hour notice — no cancellation fee. Emergency situations are handled case-by-case with understanding.

Get Started
What is supervised visitation and do I need it?
Supervised visitation — called supervised parenting time in Colorado — is a court-ordered arrangement where a professional third party is present during a visit between a child and a parent. Colorado district courts typically order supervised parenting time when there are safety concerns, a history of domestic violence, substance abuse issues, or when rebuilding a parent-child relationship under monitored conditions. If your Colorado court order specifies supervised parenting time, you are required to use a qualified provider like TruVisit Denver.
How do I get started with TruVisit Denver?
Create your account in our secure client portal and start intake online — most families finish in about 10 minutes. Have a copy of your court order handy. We'll review the requirements, collect the $150 intake fee, assign your supervisor, and have your first session scheduled — typically within 48 to 72 hours of completing intake.
Where do visits take place in the Denver metro?
Sessions take place at community locations mutually agreed upon by both parties and approved by TruVisit — typically public parks, family-friendly restaurants, indoor play areas, libraries, or other neutral community venues throughout the Denver metro. We work with families across Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Centennial, Thornton, Westminster, Arvada, and surrounding communities.
Are your reports accepted by Colorado family courts?
Yes. TruVisit session reports are written in objective, non-editorial professional language, timestamped throughout the session, and formatted to meet the documentation standards required by Colorado family courts. Our reports are regularly used by family law attorneys and submitted to the district courts of Denver, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Adams, and Douglas counties.
What if my court order requires specific documentation?
During your intake call, share the specific documentation requirements from your court order and we will ensure our reports meet those requirements. If your attorney or the Child and Family Investigator on your case has additional formatting preferences, we can accommodate those as well.
Can my attorney contact TruVisit directly?
Absolutely. Attorneys and Child and Family Investigators can submit an inquiry online to discuss a client's case, request reports, or coordinate documentation. Attorney communication is included at no extra charge. We work alongside legal counsel regularly and understand the demands of Colorado family law litigation.
What happens if a session needs to be rescheduled?
We understand that schedules change. Contact your TruVisit coordinator as soon as possible if a session needs to be moved. We'll coordinate with both parties and the supervisor to find an alternative time. We ask for at least 24 hours notice when possible — no cancellation fee for advance notice.
